We are delighted to invite you to submit your abstract to the Health Professions Conference (HPC) of 2018, which will be held at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS)– Jeddah. The conference aims to be a suitable platform for health care professionals to present and discuss their research work.
  • Scientific papers from all the fields of health sciences are welcomed to be submitted and presented.
  • Researchers can present their work either as an oral or a poster presentation.
  • Each submitted abstract will be evaluated by the research unit at KSAU-HS (Jeddah).
  • Only the abstracts that fulfill the evaluation criteria and score high while sorting will be chosen to be presented during the conference. Only abstracts within the top high scores will be picked to be presented orally.
 
Please read the guidelines below carefully prior to your abstract submission.
There are two submission forms; one for abstract submission and the other for case report submission. Please make sure to use the proper one.

 
ABSTRACTS STRUCTURE:
  • Abstracts should be written in a clear English language, with no grammar or spelling mistakes.
  • The length of the abstracts should not exceed 300 words while the title should be 25 words or less.
  • Each abstract must include the following:
    • Introduction: it should include a sufficient background about the topic with justification of the study by stating the problem, its significance and the aim of the study.
    • Methodology: this includes stating how the study was conducted, and how the data was collected and analyzed.
    • Results: Precise description of findings.
    • Conclusion: The drawn conclusions from the obtained data along with their implications.
 
CASE REPORTS STRUCTURE:
  • Abstracts should be written in a clear English language, with no grammar or spelling mistakes.
  • The length of the abstracts should not exceed 300 words while the title should be 25 words or less.
  • It is believed that each case report should contain the later points, and what should be written in each section is clear.
 
SUBMISSION PROCESS:
  • The call for abstract submission will be on the 15th of January 2018 and be closed on the 10th of March 2018.
  • All submissions should be made through the in-house developed E-Submission system (Enjaz Portal).
  • Each submitter, will have to register in the system using their personal information (names, mails, contact numbers, work place, and specialty).
  • Submitters will be requested to enter their research title, the field of the research, presenting author name (including other co-authors names) and the preferred mode of presentation.
  • Authors will be required to construct their abstracts using the E-Submission system. Each section of the abstract (Introduction, Methodology, Results, Conclusions) has an assigned field to be filled with the appropriate text, while one figure will be allowed to be uploaded separately.
  • Each submitter can submit more than one abstract but eventually only one will get accepted (The Highest Score).
  • After the completion of the abstract submission process, each submitter will have a user name and password to access his abstract and to check his abstract status.
 
EVALUATION PROCESS:
  • The evaluation process will start on the 15th of February 2018 and be completed on March 20, 2018.
  • The research unit members at KSAU-HS (Jeddah) will be responsible for evaluating and approving the submitted abstracts.
  • Abstracts will be evaluated according evaluation criteria made by the research unit then scored accordingly.
  • Abstracts that score the highest will be chosen to be presented during the conference. Again, only the highest abstracts will be chosen for oral presentation (except if the presenter chose “poster presentation” as his preferred mode of presentation)
  • Submitters of the accepted abstract will be contacted and announced publicly along with their designated times.
  • Submitters of the accepted abstracts will be asked to submit their presentations/posters within the specific template.
